I don't even know what to say.

Maybe only 1 out of 5 dates ask to split the bill. And if I split the bill, you can bet your ass I am never going to text back. Doesn't matter how amazing you are, I wasn't looking for a buddy.

I don't spend hours getting ready, go on a date with you to be your friend. I only split the bill with friends. I don't split the bill when looking for a proper boyfriend.

Even now, I control the finances in the relationship. My boyfriend gives me his credit cards and I do with it what I want. And you know what, I manage his money better than he does.
