If you live in California, you need about $300,000 per year
If you live in the Washington DC region:
House: 36000/year
Nanny: 20000/yr
Exercise club: 2200/yr per family
Food: 12000/year
Restaurant: 3000/year
Spending (gas, utility, children's classes etc): 72000/year
Vacation: 6000/year
Total: 151,200/year
Before tax income: 23,2615/year
To have a life you described, the family needs to have more than 230000 per year
if you want the same life in UAS, you also need about 80-150K/year, depends on which city your are in.  If it is a city about same level as Hang-zhou, might just need 100k.  The size of house will be larger than 150m2, but the food you have may not be as good as you had in China.
You do have to realize that Americans and Chinese have very different view of what a good life is.  Chinese are very proud of having someone do your house work for you, feel like a "royalty".  But Americans do not feel that way.  Most of them only want to have someone come in to clean once/week or two weeks, or have someone come to take care of their kids when they are not home, or periodically when they want a break.  In USA hiring someone to work for you in your house is not as easy and cheap as in China.  Not only you have to pay them minimum wedge, you also have to pay for their certain benefit by law (health care, retairment, etc).  Or it is included in the total charges to the company where they belong to.  Money is not the only issue, "privacy"is their main concern.  Certain type of things Chinese are proud to have, they may not be able to understand.  If both parents work, they more likely to send their kids to daycare, insted of having someone at their home to take care of them.  They would rather go out to eat than having someone to cook for them at home when they are not there.  So even there are more Americans are able to afford it, but actually less of Americans than Chinese (in China) have people to do everything for them in their house.
