No sooner than the Masters wrote up Reminder: Steel Stocks Still Trading Cheap (NUE, X, AKS)
David Kostin from the mighty Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) was on CNBC talking up the "best operating earnings growth stocks for 2011" and making the list was Nucor (NYSE:NUE) and U.S. Steel (NYSE:X).
How about them apples?
The Masters said it 10 minutes before and Kostin followed in classic Michael Scott fashion, saying what we did but of course much more polished as only a GS man could do.
Kostin has a 1,450 target on the S&P 500 for next year, implying a 20% gain from today's levels.
Some of the names he recommends are Genzyme (NASDAQ: GENZ), Merck (NYSE: MRK), Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), Alcoa (NYSE: AA), Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW
), Nucor (NYSE: NUE), U.S. Steel (NYSE: X), Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT), Tyco (NYSE: TYC) and Honeywell (NYSE: HON).
Here's what we said today -- Reminder: Steel Stocks Still Trading Cheap (NUE, X, AKS)
