万圣节要到了 南瓜灯摆出来。。。。。。。

南瓜灯的故事。。。。。居然搜到的是填空题。。。。貌似是个西班牙学英语的网站上的。。。。那大家填着玩

悬赏30花 求译文。。。。。。。前三位可得 。。。。

PS  话说 魔鬼 其实是很好说话的大叔嘛。。。。。。

Stingy Jack

Stingy Jack [0] ________ a miserable, old drunk [1] _____ loved playing tricks on anyone and everyone.

One dark, Halloween night, Jack [2] _____ into the Devil himself in a local public house. Jack tricked the Devil by offering his soul in [3] _____ for one last drink. The Devil quickly turned himself into a sixpence to pay the bartender, but Jack immediately snatched the coin and deposited it [4] ______ his pocket, next to a silver cross that he was carrying. Thus, the Devil could not change himself [5] _____ and Jack refused to allow the Devil to go free [6] _____ the Devil had promised not to claim Jack's soul for ten years.

The Devil agreed, and ten years later Jack again came [7] _____ the Devil while out walking on a country road. The Devil tried to collect [8] _____ he was due, but Jack thinking quickly, said, "I'll go, but before I do, will you [9] _____ me an apple from that tree?"

The Devil, thinking he had [10]_____ to lose, jumped up into the tree to retrieve an apple. As soon as he did, Jack [11] _____ crosses all around the trunk of the tree, thus trapping the Devil [12] _____ again. This time, Jack made the Devil promise that he would not take his soul [13] _____ he finally died. Seeing no way around his predicament, the Devil grudgingly agreed.

When Stingy Jack eventually [14] _____ away several years later, he went to the Gates of Heaven, but was refused entrance [15] _____ of his life of drinking and because he had been so tight-fisted and deceitful. [16] _____, Jack then went down to Hell to see the Devil and find out [17] _____ it were possible to gain entrance into the depths of Hell, but the Devil [18] _____ the promise that had been made to Jack years earlier, and would not let him enter.

"But where can I go?" asked Jack.
"Back to where you came from!" replied the Devil.

The way back was windy and very dark. Stingy Jack pleaded with the Devil to at [19] _____ provide him with a light to help find his way. The Devil, as a final gesture, tossed Jack an ember straight from the fires of Hell. Jack placed the ember in a hollowed-out turnip...one of Jack's favourite foods which he always carried [20] _____ with him whenever he could steal one. From that day forward, Stingy Jack has been doomed to roam the earth without a resting place and with only his lit turnip to light the way in the darkness.

小气鬼杰克
小气鬼杰克是一个颓废老酒鬼,爱捉弄别人,从不放过任何人。一个漆黑的复活节夜晚,杰克在当地的酒吧里撞见了恶魔。杰克骗恶魔大人,说是要把自己的灵魂卖掉来换取今晚的最后一杯酒。那位恶魔飞快地把自己变成了用来买那杯酒的6便士,但是杰克立刻抓起那枚硬币装进了自己的口袋。将之放在口袋里的那个银质的十字架的旁边。因为这个原因,那位恶魔不能让自己变回原形,而杰克拒绝放恶魔获得自由。他要求恶魔保证在十年内不会索取自己的灵魂。

恶魔同意了,十年后,杰克在乡间小路散步时又撞见了恶魔。恶魔尝试收取他到期的灵魂,杰克的小脑袋又开始飞快的转动了起来,他说:“我会跟你走,但是,在我走之前,你可以帮我在那颗树上摘一个苹果么?”

恶魔想了想,觉得他这么做没有什么损失的,他向树上跳了起来尝试去摘一个苹果。当他这么做的时候,杰克把十字架朝着着大树的主干摆弄,因此,恶魔又被摆了一道。这一回,杰克提出让恶魔不能在他去世之后摘取他的灵魂的要求。恶魔看到没有回转的余地,勉强地答应了他的要求。

当小气杰克在几年后去世的时候,他走到了天堂的大门外却因为他一生中喝酒成狂和吝啬狡诈而不得而入。杰克沮丧的去了地狱找恶魔,看看自己是否获得批准进入地狱的深处。但是,恶魔坚称因为之前他向杰克做的保证,拒绝了他的灵魂。
“那么,我可以去哪里?”杰克问
“滚回到你来的地方去!”恶魔答道

回去的路漆黑一片,刮着大风。爱计较的小气鬼杰克向恶魔求情,希望他能提供自己一些光好找到回去的路。恶魔最后做了一个手势,从地狱之火里飞出了一些余火。杰克把余火放在一个被挖空心的芜菁里(又称为大头芥,像白萝卜一样的蔬菜,同为植物的球茎)……这是他最爱的蔬菜之一,当情况的允许的时候,他经常随身带着偷来的芜菁。从那天以后,小气鬼杰克命中注定了要拿着他唯一拥有的芜菁灯漫游在人间,没有栖息之地,仅仅依靠它带来的光照亮茫茫前路的漆黑,寻找着归途。

几年后,小气鬼杰克最终还是去世了,他来到了天堂的门口,却因为酗酒的劣迹,以及吝啬和不诚实而被拒绝进入。因此,杰克只得到地狱去问问恶魔,试试看能不能进入地狱。然而恶魔遵守着几年前对杰克的承诺,拒绝让他的灵魂进入地狱。
“那么我能去哪?”杰克问道。
“从哪来回哪去。”恶魔回答道。
回去的路风大路黑。小气鬼杰克恳请恶魔至少给他盏灯来认路。恶魔最后扔了一截地狱之火的余火。杰克将余火放在一个空心的萝卜中,这是杰克最喜欢的食物,他总是一直带着,随时可以偷到。从那天开始,小气鬼杰克注定四处游荡,无处可去,带着他唯一的萝卜灯,照亮黑暗中的路。
