Through much of 2013 and 2014, pullbacks were fairly quick with traders waiting to buy the dip. There were plenty of ugly distribution days in 2013, but it wasn't pure selling, as money was rotating out of extended groups and into new bullish patterns.
During the past six weeks, we have seen plenty of distribution in the market with little to no rotation of money into new leaders. Regardless of how one views the broad market action as of late (whether it's a buy or sell), there simply isn't much out there in terms of bullish chart patterns, and that can't be ignored. |
