Why does stock change price instantly following the index?

If order was placed manually, at least, there should be 2-3 seconds delay.

If computers are trading, why do they have to trade on every point change?

not 2 ~3 second! I know some of the HF get high speed data feed just to save millisecond. So i think the system are very wildly connected instantaneously.  now, who lead who follow, I do not know.
It is obvious the computer trading mkt. But why did the human being set the program to respond to every point change

you set at point 0, he set at point +1, the other set at point + 0.5

end up every little move trigger something else.
looks like millions people set the point to follow the mkt every milli-second

    i guess that is right. Then some of them set at certain obvious point. If there are enough people doing that, that point become resistant and support point.
